I believe euthanasia should be legalised! I think it is immoral to allow people to suffer their last daysweeks in pain. At least euthanasia will allow people to die in dignity! And also think about the family I would imagine it is not pleasant to watch a loved one die whilst they are clearly suffering e.g. AIDS.

I have often thought about myself and I know I would prefer a big dose of morphine and then fall gently asleep than to live on in pain and frustration and helplessness. But it really has to be only for those whose existence has become torture or who are being kept alive on support systems, contrary to Nature.brThat kind of sickness is so hard on the patient and even harder on their family.brMy grandmother was praying to God to let her die. She was in great pain, and years old and had had enough of it. The strain of caring for her for so long also cost my Mother her health. She might get better or she might not, so we are not even remotely considering euthanising her, even if we could! We did however wish it had been possible for Gran. And we loved her so much she raised all of us my Mum, my sister and me. My point is that devoted care is really, really hard and draining, but has its rewards if the person has a chance to recover. If they feel they are ready to go in peace, their wish ought to be respected.brIn such cases, loved ones just know when life has become too intolerable and someone is ready to go and cannot fight any longer.brI myself had cancer NonHodgkins lymphoma years ago. My life is very different now to what it was prior to that. But I still have things to do. I am weak and fragile, but basically healthy. It always reassurred me that if my suffering somehow got to the stage where I couldnt bear it, I would beg, steal or borrow a shot of morphine to just die in dignity. If it recurrs, this thought keeps me positive it is a choice when there are almost none left. But in other cases, there is still something in your pets eyes that seems to say they have a little bit more unfinished business to do, and they need to do it despite pain and inconvenience to themselves and to their owners. Again, anyone with a strong bond and understanding with their pet will recognise this and put off the euthanasia until the pet seems ready. Or allow them to die naturally.brEverything is at such a fast pace these days. We need to slow down. There is a vast difference between euthanasia for those who still need more time, and those who are ready to go. The former is immoral and a crime, whether it be a pet or a human. The latter is the ultimate act of love.

being a reader, all of these are good suggestions, but most are good suggestions for fellow readers. Id suggest Harry Potter If you feel silly remember many adult readers enjoy them as welland remember also an easier read guarantees you get more from it I suggest it because of the clues hidden in etymology word roots which serves a twofold purpose, one mention some of these clues to your English teacher and she will be impressed, also if you can get an understanding of word roots youve got the keys to the literary kingdom! Also I do hope that if nothing else you will finish the harry potter series, reading does so much more than strain your eyes.

I just read some answers relating to question What is diversity and why do we need it or something along those lines. One guy stated that diversity is just a nice, politically correct way of dealing with immigration and that we would all be happy if we lived in our own countries. In essence he was saying that immigration is what has ruined Britain.
I dont think it is immigration that is the problem but the clash of so many different opinions and as a highly developed country we all want to have our own way and politically its impossible for everyone to be catered for. We would still have problems if the country was all English but we have more because we are accepted many new diversities to the country which also need to be included.

I think that while the intended audience was children, the books have transcended from being only for children to being for a much wider audience. Im and I love the books. Having been treated for depression over the course of months by a series of three different therapists, I firmly believe that happiness and misery are choices.brbrObviously we have little or no control over what happens in our lives and most of us will have a lot of good things and a lot of bad things happen to us while were on this planet. How we choose to react to them is up to us.brbrFor a long time I didnt believe or realise that I could choose to see things in different ways but my third therapist believed that our mind works in an interesting way like us, it builds up habits that it likes to use. He called these habits pathways. brbrHe explained to me that our mind tends to react to situations in the same way as it has reacted before.brbrHe said that my mind was like a huge field, and when I experience something, my mind has to decide whether to interpret that event as something that is positive or something that is negative.brbrFor me, while I was depressed, the huge field had just one path going through it to a gate on the other side, a deeplytrodden path that suggested that bad things always happened to me. Either side of that miserable path were high brambles and stinging plants that made it very hard for me to think in any positive way.brbrHe said that I had to shut the gate on the other side of the field and beat a new path across the field to another gate and that this path would be my happiness path.brbrTo start with I found this extremely difficult when something bad happened to me, I had to force myself to think that it wasnt my fault or proof that I was an idiot but just life. And when something good happened to me, I had to force myself not to look for the negatives, something Id always always done.brbrIt felt really fake at first but after a few weeks and months, it started to become natural the new path across the field became the one that my mind naturally chose, while the old, negative path started to grow over with brambles and big plants.brbrI really really believe we are in control of our happiness and our outlook on life. Is faith and belief enough?
In the Old Testament God was always turning up as burning bushes and the like, sending mana from heaven, or talking directly to people etc. So those old Hebrews had no reason to believe in God cos you dont need to believe in something you can see. For example, I dont believe in my computer its right there in front of me, I know its there. The God of today seems to require faith from his followers and isnt so obviously visible. Is that enough? Siome people beleive that everyone can be an artist, its just that many were discouraged when young, or lack the selfconfidence to overcome initial faillures, or have suppressed their creative capacities.
I have bean employed in heavy industry all my working life anyone less like the popular conception of an artist would be hard to find. I tried Water colour painting as therapy after an illness and found to my surprise that I really enjoyed it. Im no Turner but I have done decent work which relatives are happy to hang in there homes painting is therapeutic and relaxing I recommend it to anyone and yes I think everyone has an artistic streak in them . painting is a skill and there are techniques to be learnt. Artists supply shops are full of books which advise on methods and materials and many clubs and groups that are happy to accept new members and offer help and advice.
